Introduction to Scent Work
The Introduction to Scent Work course is the perfect starting point for dogs and handlers who are new to scent detection.
In these sessions, dogs learn how to search for a specific target odour and communicate clearly when they find it. Handlers will learn how to read their dog’s behaviour, support their searches and develop strong teamwork.
The focus is on building enthusiasm, confidence and a clear understanding of the game.
Progression Scent Work Courses
For teams ready to take their training further, progression courses build on the foundations of scent work and develop more advanced search skills. Designed for teams progressing beyond the UK Sniffer Dogs courses or those developing their skills for competition.
You can complete the UK Sniffer Dog course through a weekly programme or by attending a series of 2-hour workshops.
All sessions are held at the Wizz Dog Training venue, providing a structured and supportive environment where dogs and handlers can learn and develop their scent detection skills together.

During the Bronze Course, you will learn how to imprint your dog on an odour (Kong) while developing handling and foundation skills. Your dog will gain experience searching various objects, including pipes, chairs, and vehicles, as well as exploring novel environments.
